Dr. Greimel received her Ph.D. in psychology from the Karl-Franzens University Graz, Austria. She is Professor of Medical Psychology at the Medical University Graz. She has been working at the Department of Gynecology at the Medical University Hospital in Graz as a clinical psychologist and senior researcher. She is a member of the EORTC Quality of Life Group and has coordinated the development of several quality of life measures for gynecological cancer including modules for ovarian, endometrial and cervical cancer. Currently she is leading the EORTC working group for the development of a patient reported sexual health measure for cancer survivors. She has been a member of the Executive Committee of the Quality of Life Group and has served as liaison person for the EORTC Gynecological Cancer Group. Professor Greimel has worked extensively on numerous research and clinical projects in psychosocial oncology. Dr. Greimel has a broad international experience in various cancer clinical trial groups. She was a visiting professor in Japan, University of Hiroshima. Since 2012 she is the head of the Clinical Psychology Unit at the Medical University Graz.
