Dr. Michael Koller received his Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Vienna (Austria). He was a visiting scholar at the University of Texas at Austin and Arizona State University and served as a research assistant on the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Bielefeld (Germany). He received an advanced academic degree (Habilitation) in Surgical Research from Philipps-University Marburg (Germany). Currently he is Head of the Center for Clinical Studies at the University Hospital Regensburg (Germany). His research interests include methodological and psychological aspects of clinical studies, outcome conceptualization and assessment and quality of life. Within the EORTC he is involved in projects improving the response scale, updating the lung cancer module as well as translation and item bank issues.
