Origins of the EORTC

The GECA (Groupe Européen de Chimiothérapie Anticancéreuse) is created. The United Kingdom joins the GECA, which becomes the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC) with Head Quarters (HQ) established in the Institut Bordet in Brussels, Belgium.
