General information

Condition of participation

Participation to the MCCR Workshop is limited to 80 applicants who are based in Europe (EU and non-EU), Mediterranean or Middle East regions.

The Workshop Review Committee will evaluate the applications and base its decision on a number of factors including:

Quality and feasibility of the proposed protocol concept and the letters of commitment submitted;
Individual career path in medical training and competence in clinical cancer research;
Support of relevant departments and/or institutions to help conduct the clinical trial.

The selection of applications is at the sole discretion of the Workshop Review Committee. Whilst feedback on the application process and selection is welcome, the Workshop Review Committee will not enter into any discussions regarding the final decision.

Applicants will be notified of the status of their application mid-March 2026.

In order to attend the MCCR Workshop, all selected participants are required to pay the Workshop Participation Fee of 2.990 EUR (including local VAT).

What the Participation Fee covers 

The Workshop Participation Fee covers the following elements related to the scientific programme and associated hospitality:

  • Full access to the scientific programme and educational activities of the Workshop
  • Mentoring and supervision by experienced clinical oncology experts
  • Access to the Workshop portal and all related educational materials
  • Accommodation at the Workshop venue from 13 to 18 June 2026
  • Meals and refreshments provided during the Workshop (as per the official programme)

Travel and transportation

Travel and related transportation are organised and budgeted separately from the participation fee.

  • A travel allocation of €500 per participant is foreseen for transportation
  • Round-trip travel arrangements are organised centrally by the Workshop Secretariat, in accordance with predefined organisational and cost-control guidelines
  • Transfers between Amsterdam airport and the Workshop venue are arranged for participants
  • Individual travel arrangements are not foreseen unless agreed in advance with the organisers

This Workshop is supported by grants from national, European, and international cancer organisations, as well as educational grants from corporate sponsors.

As of Mid-May 2026, selected participants will have access to the MCCR Workshop portal, an online resource platform for all educational Workshop material. The portal will also be used as a message centre and as a platform for all organisational aspects of the Workshop.

The application for Accreditation will be submitted to the European Accreditation Council for CME (EACCME) of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS).
