27TH WORKSHOP ON METHODS IN CLINICAL CANCER RESEARCH
20-24 June 2027
Sint Michielsgestel, Netherlands

Workshop overview
The annual Methods in Clinical Cancer Research Workshop (MCCR) is a week-long course designed to educate and train early-career investigators in the best practices of clinical trial design and provide access to experienced clinical investigators from different institutions and countries with expertise across all areas of clinical research. The Workshop is organised by the European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC), European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) and American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) and has provided training to over 2000 investigators from all over the world since its inception in 1999.
Who should attend
The Workshop is offered to early-career investigators based in Europe (EU and non-EU), Mediterranean or Middle East regions working in the field of oncology who are nearing completion of their training or have recently begun their initial faculty positions and is designed to address the needs of today, while maintaining flexibility to implement changes to train early-career investigators on how to conduct effective clinical trials in the future.

Workshop participation
This year, 80 promising early-career investigators will be chosen through a competitive selection process based on a protocol concept, personal statement, and mentor support. Accepted participants will work closely with world-renowned faculty who will help refine their ideas into IRB-ready clinical trial protocols prepared for submission at their respective institutions. Beyond protocol development, the Workshop provides a collaborative environment for building lasting peer and mentor connections that can strengthen future career advancement.
