Late-breaking abstracts
Late-breaking abstracts describe the latest advances that will change our daily clinical practice. They should highlight novel and practice-changing studies. Focus is placed on capturing abstracts with ground-breaking and unique data that would not otherwise have been presented at the Symposium.
Examples of suitable late-breaking abstracts might include the results of a practice-changing prospective Phase III clinical trial; a Phase II study showing anti-tumor activity in a novel context; an early clinical trial with novel proof-of-principle data, or the demonstration of novel cancer biology with therapeutic implications – in each case the results should not have been fully available by the regular abstract submission deadline.
Late-Breaking Abstract submission: 12-19 October 2026
Late-breaking abstracts submitted after the stipulated deadline will not be considered. Authors are strongly advised to submit their abstracts prior to the deadline and avoid any delays that may affect the evaluation of their work.
Submitting a late-breaking abstract for the 38th EORTC‑NCI‑AACR Symposium does not constitute registration for the event. If selected for presentation, late-breaking abstract presenters must register to attend the 38th EORTC‑NCI‑AACR Symposium.
The presenting author will receive the review outcome and the Scientific Committee’s decision by email in late October.
PLEASE NOTE: LBA titles will be released in the programme once the authors have been notified of acceptance of abstracts. LBA abstracts will be released on the day of presentation.
